A deliberate strategist, Julie calmly steers companies through unexpected events, but more importantly, she can forecast three steps ahead so they can prepare for what’s next. Additionally, her crew lands high profile business accolades such as Deloitte’s “Technology 500” and Fast Company’s “Innovation by Design.” Julie has certifications in Business Communications from Duke University, Reputation Risk Management from the Public Relations Society of America, and Persuasive Writing and Public Speaking from Harvard University. She has been recognized with a 2021 Women in Business Award from the Triangle Business Journal.

As an award-winning radio personality, Julie compassionately guided her audiences through some of the most seismic events of the 21st century including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and the global financial crisis of 2008. She interviewed five U.S. Presidents and hundreds of A-list celebrities including Academy Award winners Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Nicole Kidman, and Reese Witherspoon. Communicating to 20 million listeners, Julie hosted shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta, Albuquerque, and Raleigh-Durham. In 2015, the National Association of Broadcasters bestowed her with radio’s highest honor: the “Personality of the Year” Marconi Award.
Julie not only led her teams to ratings victories, but her real superpower was masterminding an exceptional public relations program for the show. The Gene & Julie Show was famous for larger-than-life publicity stunts that garnered passionate community engagement, audience growth, and top tier media coverage. Julie deeply understands how to touch audiences and created captivating viral content that took her all the way to the set of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

An advocate for families, she hosted radiothons for Children’s Miracle Network and raised $4.5 million to find cures for childhood diseases. Dedicated to building cross-cultural connections, Julie was appointed as a Student Ambassador to Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong for a White House program developed to encourage world peace through cultural exchange programs. She lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband, amazing teen and spoiled Havanese, Reggie.
